 ABOUT HYPA:

Houston Young People for the Arts (HYPA) aims to promote education of the visual and performance arts; to advance awareness of current events in the Houston art scene, particularly among young people; and to collaborate with governmental and not-for-profit organizations to achieve these goals.

From HYPA-tailored events to joint promotions with other organizations around the city, we provide Houston young professionals with a unique opportunity to view and participate in the burgeoning art landscape without emptying their pockets; meet other individuals with similar goals; and be able to support the art scene in its many forms.

Organizations and groups we have worked with include, but not limited to Aurora Picture Show, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, FotoFest, Houston Symphony, Houston Grand Opera, Society for the Performing Arts and Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, Theatre Under The Stars, Da Camera of Houston, Trey McIntyre Project, Dance Salad, Suchu Dance, Orange Show, Opera in the Heights and many others.

Membership to Houston Young People for the Arts is $30 annually and includes access to all Theater District Houston events.

If you are interested in sponsoring, partnering, or would like more information about HYPA please contact Valonia Walker at vwalker@theaterdistricthouston.org
